So if you are a expatriate 移居外地的人 in Hong Kong, you would hear a lot of news regarding malfunction of train and MTR (Subway in HK). Hospital with 110% occupied the facilities. How doctors and nurses protest with their long working hours.

I don’t want to go too deep for this kind of depression. As Hong Kong er as us, we bounce very well of many situation.

Liner Apps has the last laugh 終有出頭天

I like read article on electronic device not on tangible printed staff. I have tried : Diigo, Instapaper , Pocket & Kindle. Liner is also in my using list.

Used those for long, some grow as an awesome application and some don’t.

Liner was not stable form the beginning. But today , It get the last laugh.終有出頭天

I found more stable and the mind feature is very fit me. It can high and comment on all internet. You can lookup by iOS internal dictionary. Then later, you can export those highlight and comment directly to iOS note and Evernote. And it can use that one single log in user name and password , you can access anywhere through Chrome pluggin app to highlight extract vocabularies form your Liner account.

Movie –Escape Room : (Always Spoil Alert)- the way to learn English

Escape Room : I like to learn English outside the box. Watching movie is one of my way to learn English versatilely 多才地 多方面地 . Itune and Netfix are my own private theater. Hollywood movies are my best bet. Compare with other language’s movie, Hollywood movie occupy a large portion of my choice.

Renting a movie on itune cost me around HKD 38 and HKD 158 for buying one for newest blockbuster. Google play movie’s price closed and mostly cheaper. The good thing is you can repeat the line indefinitely. If you rent it , you can watch it unlimited times within 48 hours. Bought movies you can share to your family members so as to make the movie valuable. I have tested the quality even on a huge TV (65 inchs) , the resolution is still amazing. On one hand, I will take photos of new vocabularies, one the other hand, I will read plot on Wikipedia after I watched it. With the enhance of motion picture, I can learn text from plot deeply.

We are non-native English speaker, we rely on Chinese subtitles, do catch up sometime, don’t occasionally. So we have tendency to miss something in the content

Something I don’t understand before. After I read Wikipedia (one of my way to learn English read Wikipedia)

Here is Hong Kong er’s daily life facing the issue. Hong Kong is well known everything include its king ransom price of properties notoriously . The rent always break the new high record. You are harder and harder to find private restaurants instead of chain stores. Those survival gastronomers 美食家 gourmands are broadening sources of income and cutting expenditure 開源節流 that mean most of restaurants are as busy as possible as well as their staff. They don’t let you just sit around but consume 花費 less. And all the boss keep pressuring them to do as many as possible of their jobs.

Under this situation in Hong Kong , staff and patrons morbidly 病態地 repeat some knee jack reaction. For example: staff keep asking you whether you finished the dishes although there still has some residue. Patrons keep eating fast or keep protecting their dishes avoid confiscate 沒收 by those dirty hands。

Hong Kong restaurant staff alway take away my unfinished dishes. Once, I have three times staff want to take away my unfinished. In Hong Kong, you can become a nerve-wrecking easily. I know traveler very like Hong Kong hustle and bustle life style ever you can find entertainment in the midnight. But you live in here is totally not the case.

We , hongkonger, live in fast -pace parochial 眼光狹窄的 city, always have only 1 hour or less for lunch and we have dinner quite often start from 9 pm ever 10 pm similar to last night snack. We gobble up meal into stomach, after lunch, we alway feel serious 飯氣攻心. Once I got the expression like ” food Coma” . Yup, right now , I just have a food coma, don’t want to go back to work.
